Attila's carry out and market in the back will close for good this Sunday 5/29. The carryout will close at 2 or 3 that day; the market will close around 7. They want to relocate as close to here as possible but they don't know yet where they will land. They're collecting email adds of folks who want the alert once they do. If you haven't tried the good sandwiches and the best hummus in town, now is the time. Cheers all Jamie
Everything is delicious. Fabulous menu with a large variety of choices. It's worth any wait time. The restaurant is clean the restaurant has been in business for decades.
This is a GEM. Lemme tell you, the food is delicious, the price is right, and have I mentioned how delicious the food is? I've tried the Adana kebab platter which comes with salad, grilled tomatoes and jalapeno, pilaf, with a pita bread buried under it all to soak up deliciousness. The lamb/beef combo is flavorful af. I ate it all with cacik sauce (yogurt with dill and cucumber I think). I legit cld have just spooned that cacik directly into my mouth. Check this place out! Locally owned, delicious food, and really decent prices for the amount of food you get!
Tried the Doner Kebab Wrap here and it was pretty good. We're lactose intolerant so it was nice they had a tomato sauce for us to use instead of the tzatziki sauce. If you're the type where a Chipotle bowl can be split into 2 meals, you could probably do the same with the Doner Kebab; especially if you get some appetizers/sides to go with it. Good portion and price! Lastly, the staff was nice and helpful. So if you've never had this type of food before, they will help explain/guide you.
This place is a small place located in Columbia pike. One of my close friends introduced me to this restaurant. The place is small so it doesn't have a space to sit but there is a space next to eat outside that people can sit and eat. The people in there are really friendly and it feels like a family restaurant. I love Doner Kebab which is similar to shawarma, so I ordered that one. They place the doner kabob in either pita or tortilla bread. But when I was in Turkey they usually put it in pita bread but they open pita and make it thinner which I like more. Anyway the doner kabob is very good here. It is a very lean meat and doesn't have much fat. They also give a tzaziki sauce separate which I recommend to put it on. The sandwich was really good and I will come back for more. The only recommendation is that it would be good to add other sauces to the sandwich as well.
Love this place! I recently moved out of state a little over a week ago and will miss their delicious Turkish cuisine. I would always order the chicken veggie hummus and fries on the side or the atilla burger. I've also ordered the spinach pie which was very delicious. The baklava is amazing and perfectly dipped in sweet rose water ( I think that delicious liquid is rose water but am not 100% certain.) All I know is that it's consistently delicious. I world get a small piece of it with every order. The only cons I have are that they tend to overcook the meat of the Atilla burger so it's best to make sure they understand the meat temperature you prefer. The burger is great when they get the meat temp right. Also, they put lots of strong onions on their food so if you're not into onions I'd definitely recommend cutting those. Their service is wonderful.
Hands down one of the best Turkish restaurants I have been too. Do not let the cheap prices trick you, My friend and I both got the ten dollar Beyti kebab and it was excellent. The Ezme and bread was amazing as well, but a little on the spicy side. Our host was a very respectful man and seemed passionate about his restaurant. Next time I am in Washington, I will definitely make a stop here. Also, you can not eat at a Turkish resturant without getting Künefe for dessert. The best I've ever had.
Bumped into this place by coincidence and was happy I did so. I love gyros and can never find a place that prepares authentic gyros/döner the Greek way. This place hit the spot with its good amount of meat and tasty yogurt sauce in gyro bread. I also ordered the house made hummus, rich and creamy. It is served with warm bread. The lady at the side take out order entrance was very nice and helpful when I was undecided on what to get. She was patient with me as I asked questions about ingredients. And all at a good price I must say....I will be back soon!
Quiet, incredible value, genuinely friendly service. We came in for a later dinner on a Friday night and we were alone with another table and then had like the last 30 minutes of our meal or to ourselves. It was a beautifully private experience, quiet, nice cozy atmosphere. Very good food, fantastic value too - we ordered the Adana kebab and the gyro in addition to babaganoush app (omg the BREAD ) and two Turkish coffees and total came down to $30 before tip. Amazing! They were delicious, too. I wish my Adana Kebab had a bit of more lamb in it, but then again, for just $9 it was great. It's right next to The Salsa Room, so a perfect dinner and dancing date! Even though we finished our nice portions, we still danced the night away and didn't feel sick at all. Healthy, filling food that didn't make us feel heavy afterwards. Will definitely go back.
